well ive tried searching with no real help

why does omni and blox ect make a tps sensor, is just a oem replacement or is there any added benifit what so ever for tunning purposes ?

just woundering cuz i picked 1 up with a new 3 bar dirt cheap plus it has a wicked awsome sweet yellow sticker lol jk

 

There is no advantage to using it. I would stick to an oem sensor.

The fact is that you can not buy a TPS sensor from Honda. they sell the whole throttle body instead of the individual TPS. this is why companies made replacements.

Thats why you'll notice all honda TPS sensors are riveted on to the TB...

 

I had to replace tps last week and wasn't about to spend 450 on entire throttle body. I guess thats how honda makes its money.

As far as swaping it out not easy. Have to drill it out.

 

if you want an easier way. take a cut off wheel and cut a straight line down the middle on both rivet screws. then take a big flat head screwdriver and un screw them. thats all you have to do. then replace with regular 10mm bolts.
