B18b backdating to obd1
i have a 97 obd2 b18b and it is going into an EF hatch. im running a p75 on hondata s100. what do i have to do to backdate the sensors and stuff to make it obd1? i know i need a obd1 dizzy, but what else is needed? any help is appreciated
You need nothing, not even a new dizzy. Just rewire the one you have with obd1 plugs. They are the same internally. You can leave the extra evap stuff and ckf sensor unplugged because your ecu won't look for it.
I can confirm you do not need a new distributor. the obd1 and 2 distributors use the same signal pattern that can be understood by either generation of ecu. otherwise rewiring of the plugs is all you need, as d16SiHatch already said.
You will need to rewire the alternator plug or just use an OBD1 alt. I *think* the plug is the same between OBD0 and OBD1 (large round plug) and OBD2 is a smaller square one.
