so i went to check out a crx this guy was parting out and i found this power heated mirror switch in the dash. never seeing one before i decided to snag it up with a couple other items. now my problem is that i cannot find another one online at all. i have found plenty of power window switch for ef's but not a power window switch with the heat button on it. just wondering if someone can chime in on how hard they are to find, are they only jdm or edm, etc. also next to it in the dash was a weird defrost switch that i have never seen also so there a pic of that too if anyone has any info on that too it would be much appreciated. thanks alot guys.
ScottMog should know from crxcommunity.com (dont know if he has an account here) He's running functioning power folding mirriors with a working defroster switch. Looks like a EDM, JDM OEM part.

That mirror switch isn't from an ef of any type. It is a heated mirror switch from a USDM 90-91 Acura legend, I'm not too positive on the year but i know it's close to early 90's. I have one I use as a back up for my power folding mirrors. I had to make some mods to my harness for it to work.
The defroster switch is off an older 1st gen crx. I'm nit sure if it was offered for the civics but it is off the crx. I have one of those as well.

You have an EDM heated mirrors switch. Many EF's in Europe came with this option, especially in Scandinavian countries. This is a genuine OEM item and it's quite rare. The switch will only work with EDM Heated Mirrors, but you can get aftermarket heaters and you are all set.
Nice find! Good item!

You can rig the switch to work on power folding mirrors....
Here are my switches side by side....

yes they will also fit in our EF's but they are legend switches here in the US. Outside the US I don't know for sure, but I doubt they are for our heated mirrors seeing as I also have in my possession some edm heated mirror switches from an ef9

Yea they are available but, heated seat switches mount more like the defroster switch the OP posted either by the mirror switch or on the rare center console. The heated mirror switch from an edm ef mounts next to the headlight dimmer and emergency light switch.
I knew that was the case in CRX. But is it the same for 88-91 Civic?
Well I had my buddy buy these for me from either "edmfactory or prodijayautosales" I don't remember which one, but the seller and they were listed for ef9 and ef8 edm civic. I thought they would work for my crx but to make them work they would have to sit on their sides, which for me doesn't cut it.
