best way to remove tint
I was at the back of a shop the other day in the parking lot and there was a guy w/ a new accord V6 coupe complaining about his tint job (it was starting to bubble or something).. they just worked the edge and started ripping it off... I didn't stay long enough to watch them do the entire car.. but thats how they started on the driver side window...
hmm.. riend of mine works at honda and they use baby shampoo and water mixed and hot weather or someting like that any hear of this?
I've heard of them mixing baby shampoo with water, thats what you're supposed to do with the do it yourself tint, lol
As for the back window ( defroster thingey's) put some anemonia mixed with some h20 in a spray bottle, spreay it on the cover it with a some plastic sheating let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours and it will come right off. This is how i was told it is done buy profesiona's.

well if you say its not proffesional, well thats how they do it at honda on fairly new cars. i am his friend who works at honda who asked the tint guy and well basically he said it was the easiest for 2000+ model cars w/factory tint. ammonia and rubbing alcohol? i seriously think it would leave a smell in your car, but just doesnt sound right. so if the people at honda are unproffesional, **** we're all screwed in the end.
Does anyone know of the approx mixture rate of water-amonnia-achohol...I need to remove the previous owners hack Do-it-Yourself tint job,but i didnt want to ruin my defroster grids....if not,I guess I'll play Mr Wizard. I'll let you guys know of the outcome.
REMOVE YOUR TINT EARLY!
I have had to remove tint from an 89 Supra that had been on there since it's inception. The tint was purple and bubbled, peeling in some places.
We tried three things to remove it:
Heat gun/razor blade.
Ammonia soaking with trashbags in 100+ degree TX summer.
Heat Gun and ammonia.
While the heat gun worked for some parts of a couple windows, ultimately we resorted to razor blades. Sadly the rear defroster had to be removed with the tint.
Because of this experience, I will never tint my car.
