well i have everything measured out and im about to order rod bearings and i came up with these clearances with using green bearings
using this rod bearing chart i found
Blue 1.510-1.507 mm 0.0594”- 0.0593”
Black 1.507-1.504 mm 0.0593”- 0.0592”
Brown 1.504-1.501 mm 0.0592”- 0.0591”
Green 1.501-1.498 mm 0.0591”- 0.0590”
Yellow 1.498-1.495 mm 0.0590”- 0.0589”
Pink 1.495-1.492 mm 0.0589”- 0.0587”
Red 1.492-1.489 mm 0.0587”- 0.0586”
green
1) .0146-.0148
2) .0148- .0150
3) .0146-.0148
4) .0147-.0149
yellow
1).0148-.015
2).0150-.0152
3).0148-.015
4).0149-.0151
im not sure if that is too tight or not, if i can get away with those clearances i will just buy acl's if not i will go with whatever color to get me what i need for what people think is proper clearances (ive always done .015)
the motor is for a street car, right now will have stock cams but plan on upgrading later to something bigger and try to hit 300whp
i plan on measuring up the piston rings and was wondering what people recommend for them also, its an 87mm bore k24 and i might shoot a little nitrous later on, but nothing more than a 75 shot and i want this motor to be reliable and make good power on 93 octane
