Help Asap plz:crankshaft pulley came loose car wont start
k so i was driving to work last night and the harmonic balancer came loose and shot the timing belt off on the free way i coasted off of ramp onto a back road, pushed the car into a church parkinglot and stuck the keyback in all the way and tightened the crankshaft pulley back down , bought a new alternator belt and popped it on. Now the car wont start it turns over , has spark, checked compression has compression in all cylinders, now im just not sure if my timing belt could jump from it or get messed up from the key coming out? anyone think they could help me i gotta go back down there and fix it once the sun comes up
will be much appreciated

If the key came off the crankshaft, then yeah, the cam drive gear on the crank could have just free spun. Sounds like you basically need to pull your timing belt off and re-install. If it is near time to replace you may as well replace it as it's just as much work. Good write up in the FAQs.
awesome time to head to the parkinglot and retime it lol, this outta be a fun task in a parking lot -_-. ill let ya know the outcome when i get back and thanks again
