CEL Code 45. Running too Rich or Lean
Hey everyone. I've been trying to get my car to pass emissions legally this year. For the past 2 weeks i've been taking the car thru its drive cycles trying to set the readyness codes due to my O2 sensor being absent since I have a wideband I run with my OBD1 ecu.
Anyways today my CEL came on with code 45. Engine is running too rich or lean. What are some of the things I can look at to get this fixed. The car does have a high flow fuel pump in it still from when the car was Supercharged (its not anymore). Could that be causing me to run rich. I'm just running out of time as my emissions are due by the end of the month. Any help on ideas of what to check for would be appreciated. Thanks.

Absolutely. The regulator on your fuel rail is designed to manage how much fuel gets through but it can be overwhelmed by too much pressure.
255l/h are a bit much for stock FPR's, but it sholdn't be that bad if you pull back the pressure to normal. An aftermarket FPR will get rid of this problem, if you feel that's it.
but most of the time this code is set due to a failing O2.
