I recently installed a Jackson Racing Supercharger on my 99 GSR and for some reason it's throwing 2 cels. The cel codes are 23 (knock sensor) and 10 (IAT intake air temperature). I got the timing to between 6 and 7 degrees because in California we run the 91 premium gas, and everything looks like it's hooked up correctly. The other thing that i'm concerned is that the relay that I ordered from www.supercharger.com. I'm pretty sure it's connected right, two wires from the air temperature wires (red/yellow) tapped into the relay. A 12v power supply from the battery, and the ground wire that leads to the purge control valve. Am I missing anything else? When I get out of first gear it lags a little bit than it seems like there's a burst of energy, so it kind of jolts a bit. Same thing with the second gear also, but anything after that it runs smooth. Any suggestions on fixing the issues my vehicle is having? Thanks in advance

 

The wire you have hooked to the purge valve should go to the pressure switch on the manifold. The wire hooked to the battery should go the purge valve. As far as the knock sensor goes, did you break the sensor putting on the charger? they are pretty fragile.

 

Ah okay, great thanks Too_slow_eg. I will try that once I get off work, hopefully that will solve my IAT and the knock sensor issue.

 

I hooked up the relay following the directions that you gave me, however the IAT and knock sensors are still on. The car does however boosts correctly after 3rd gear, or near high rpms. On first and second gear regular driving, the car kind of bogs, so I have to give it a little bit more gas in order for it not to bog. Any suggestions that would work? I'm just trying to run the vehicle all stock along with the stock ecu with the JR fuel managements for now. Trying to get hondata probably in the summer time. Any suggestions?

 

Hi i was like you few year ago,the car will run lean and detonate, you should get fuel pump, bigger injector and engine management quickly

 

u should check if u got them plug right. Unscrew the iat off it might be burnt.

 

Agreed I'm running precision 440 injectors, walbro 255, and s100 runs like stock, as an added bonus you will probably get more power too

Old thread but does anyone know what kind of intake I can fit in my car with a JRSC? Reason why I am asking is because I can't find any intakes that will fit perfectly and also the intake that I have on right now is not held down securely.

 

any intake desighend for the gsr motor. short rams are more favored but i like the comptech ice box infact thats the only intake iv ever used on my jrsc'd motors.
