Default HKS Megaflow intakes

Have any of you guys used a universal HKS Super mega flow intake on your race cars/street cars and made power over a K&N or Green filter?

Straight pipe and a blox velocity stack would be my suggestion, made good power on that all motor.

we put one on a turbo legacy and it made less power than the stock air box. i haven't tried it on a honda yet (and don't really plan on it)

In a filter test against main brands, HKS/Apexi/Blitz/K+N etc, they were the worst and let the most dirt get through.

Apexi was rated the best filter out of the bunch. I don't like foam filters, more of a paper filter kind of guy. Run a velocity stack with a matching filter to go over it. Blox setup is decent, circuit hero, or BPI.

No not at all. I mean, HKS is a great company, they do make some really well built parts, however their filters, I think since they chose to use a foam filter element is where they went wrong.

K&N filters do a pretty terrible job of filtering, but make power because of it.
