Default What ecu for my B16a2 swap??

if you remember I have the 98 spec RHD ITR. I have been going back and forth on what to do motor wise for some time. I am now in the position where I just need to car drivable. I picked up a complete B16a2 swap from a wrecked 2000 civic SI today with 110k miles on it. I have the RHD harness that came with the caR. I also received the ECU from the 00 SI which I believe to be a P2T ecu.
Will this ECU and Harness work with the car?
If not what do I need to switch these out with or what ELSE do I need to make this work?

Thanks for the help folks!

Steve

civic harness will not work at all.

ECU will work with the right jumper. OBD2a to OBD2b.

yup you will need the rhp engine harness from your car, and then go plug the ecu into the chasis harness and if it doesnt plug in then you need a jumper harness to make it work or just get a jumper harness with a obd1 ecu, you will need all the integra motor mounts and then the integra timing belt side block mount(i can sell you that as i just had to buy a si one for my 18c)

use the rhd integra harness and an obd2a to obd2b ecu jumper and you should be fine with 99 si ecu. You could also use a 96-98 spec obd2a jdm b16 ecu or a 96-97 del sol VTEC(p30) obd2a usdm ecu without needing a ecu jumper harness. orrr you cauld just use a obd2a to obd1 ecu harness and use an obd1 b16 ecu.

My buddy parts out cars and has all the mounts I need so he says. I was just wondering on the harness/ecu situation. What is the best place to pick up the jumper harness? lookin to spend the least money possible as I plan to do a K20 swap this summer once I have the funds available but I NEED a car to drive for now.

Some one on another forum brought this idea to my attention:
why not just get an ITR ecu so you dont have to spend the money on the harness and then an ITR ecu in the future?

So my question is:
will the P73 ITR ecu work with my 98 JDM db8-R harness/ the car itself/ and the 00 SI swap with out anything else necessary plug and play?

Thanks steve

The most economical way to get the motor running is to use the JDM P73 ECU. No, this ecu is not made for that engine but who cares? It's a B16A and you're only using it for a few months. This would actually run a lot better than buying an ecu jumper for the P2T ecu you have because that ecu is going to look for the Secondary o2 sensor, Evap purge solenoid, Crank angle sensor and possibly a few other sensors I might be forgetting causing a CEL and making the engine run in "limp" mode. The P73 ecu might be the cheapest route but a OBD2a to OBD1 jumper with OBD1 P30 ecu is probably your best option.

just get a 98+ B16 JDM ECU, done. $200 bucks for the right ecu, and not have to deal with it.

use the harness that your RHD car has, the only issue you are going to have is plugging up to the air intake temp sensor.

Ignore the crank sensor by the water pump and you should be all set. This is really an easy swap. Don't forget you need integra mounts, not EK mounts.
