Default Turbo GSR in 92 EG Hatch build

This thread is for my for my 1992 eg hatch build, I have been doing alot of research and will continue too. I'm not looking for a 10 second car, just a nice 8psi daily driver. Hopefully I'll have some good feedback from everyone and some helpful pointers, estimated time for being done will be 1-2 years. Considering once the motor is ready to swap in im repainting the car and engine bay.

Parts already aquired:
GSR block w/ stock crank, rods, and pistons.
Skunk2 intake manifold and tuner series cam gears

I have a long way to go but body work will begin when winter is over. The only things im unsure of are what brand turbo manifold and turbo/turbo size, still researching though. Brought this over from the 92-95 Civic/Del Sol forum.

No problem. IF you plan on using the stock or similar stock "spec" internals, do not expect to gain more than about 350whp (safe measure) on these internal parts. Look to more of what the purpose of the car is, what power you plan to make, and HOW you want that power delivered. This will really help narrow down your research so that YOU know what you want, and not just what someone else would do if they had YOUR money.

Thanks, realistically I'd be very happy with 300 whp or around there. I'm just wanting a good daily driver that I will take to the strip rarely, just to see what it can do with me behind the wheel. It's my first real build so I'm learing alot as I go, but live and learn as they say.

450 500 will get you into the high 10.. 750-1000 cc injectors will do. skunk2, blox, bbk, or any aftermarkt intake manifold will doo. stock fuel lines will do if you wanna change them you can . depending on ya buget you can peice together a kit , or you can buy one from companies like go autowork, afi, full race, or peakboost just to name a few. youll need a some kind of engin management like hondata. chrome .ectune aem and a good tune. i hope i was able to help.

Look in to castiron turbo manifold like blox or if tou want to spend the money inlinepro manifold. As for the turbo a 50 or 57 trim with a 48 a/r or 63 a/r. the only difference is that the 50 trim spools alittle faster but both are a great turbo. For the brand Garrett, Precision, Turbonetics and Borg Warner turbos....... I hope this helps.......

What does Drag DR-23's 15X6.5 have anything to do with the turbo build?

^^ Nothing really, just one of the things sitting in my garage waiting to go on the car. This might sound crazy or not make any sense but I kinda want to do a Skunk2 themed car. But thanks for the help from everyone else, I've bought a couple things off the marketplace here and am really pleased with the parts. I do plan on taking this slow as it is my first real build, I am very particular about things and want it done right so i don't blow my motor after 100 miles.

I just got done with mine a couple months back and had the same game plan in mind for mine. I took the easy route of getting a peakboost kit since it was a whole setup and my first time turboing a honda. The skunk2 mani fit great no problems. Im running a 57 trim on mine and i like it, it doesnt really spool up unless i get in it a little and im putting out 335 whp on a very conservative tune. I would suggest going with a minimum 550cc or higher injectors though and it gives you room to grow down the line if you want to up the boost later. The thing about boost is in the beginning you decide to just do a certain amount but after a while you will want to up the boost everyone does, so if you have the block torn down i would just go ahead and put a good set of aftermarket pistons/rods in thats just my 2 cents. Have fun with it and take your time to do it right the first time.
