swap for a 95 gsr
i found a full 97 type r motor for 3000. other than ecu's, what else would need to be interchanged to make it work.
the motor has 90k on it but with the tranny i think its a good deal. whatcha guys think?

or, i've used these guys before

$3400 shipped for the whole package with an ecu. you'll also have far fewer than 90k miles

i really just need to swap my broke gsr motor. the guy with the type r is only 2 hrs away so i was thinkin it be worth it.
I'm mainly worried about the change from obd 1 to 2, or converting the motor to 1...

if you have a 95 the jdm stuff is actually easier. the only thing you will need to change is the distributor and vtec solenoid.
still, for 3400 shipped to your door i don't see how you think that's a worse deal for half the mileage AND you get the correct ecu.
