the search button and google is your best friend.
but if you just want the mosy hp (no other factor) i say go with the b18c1, if its in your budget.

JDM B16A is 160HP or 170HP, depending on the generation of engine.

OP said b18c1 usdm it's not 200ps but I'm sure it's still a better choice than a jdm b16a regardless of generation since it has a higher displacement

B16 will lack power and torque in comparison to the B18C1. Also the type r transmission has really nice short gears and lsd for great acceleration. I would choose the B18C1. As far as the swap components involved with either motor should be about the same Good luck with your build!

Go B18C.....it makes more torque...Honda engines need all the torque they can get, it's IMPORTANT!!!

Whats your budget, if all things equal.

the B18c1 will be nicer, it has all the pros from the b16 plus more.

I cant really see that the B16 would be better in DD form than the GSR motor.

I honestly LOVE my b16a, but it's lack in torque has made me turn to a b18 motor, so i'm doing an LS/Vtec for the Torque, although I have chose to boost my car also.. but honestly the b18c1 would be the better motor if you are just trying to reach 200hp and let it ride as a DD. You can check your local craigslist for a b18c1 engine.. I know I see them a lot on mine for around $1,500 for motor, tranny, axles, and ecu. Just research around for prices and everything.

Yes, they are legit. I bought my motor from a JDM Store here close to me and they treated me very well. I haven't dealt with tigerjapanese, but hmotorsonline I have and they are very good people and ship very quickly.

im doing a gsr w/ jdm b16 pistons, b16 head w/ type r cams and a lsd b16 tranny. why not do a small custom build that will walk all over either? mine should be comprable to a itr swap, possibly a bit better. ill be running right at 11.5:1 compression ratio.
