GOT A 92 ACCORD LX...5 SPEED...I HAVE PROBLEMS LEFT AND RIGHT... WELL NOW MY OIL PAN SCRAPED SOMETHING AND TORE IT APART..NO PROBLEM I REPLACED T AND DID A WHOLE NEW OIL CHANGE...THAT WAS ROUGHLY 2 MONTHS AGO... WELL NOW WHEN I START MY CAR AND REV IT UP A LIL TO WARM IT UP...THE OIL FILTER O-RING BULGES UP AND MY OIL JUST STARTS POURING OUT...I'VE REPLACED THE OIL FILTER...AND IT JUST DID THE SAME THING..THIS IS COSTING ME MONEY.AND REALLY STARTING TO **** ME OFF... IF ANY SUGGESTIONS...PLEASE HELP!!!!..REMEMBER OIL PAN IS JUST FINE...ITS ALL COMIN OUT THE OIL FILTER.. U CAN SEE THE O-RING POPPED OUT THE OIL FILTER WHILE STILL ON AND NOTE... ITS STILL TIGHT ON THERE... HELP PLEASE
First off. Please no more caps. It makes it harder to read. Second, don't rev your engine during it's warming up stage. Your oil is cold and has a hard time flowing at start up because of this. By revving it, you're increasing the chances of internal damage. It's kind of like your starving your internals from enough oil. Anyways enough of that and onto your question.
What filters are you using and how are you tightening them on? My Mobil 1 filter would leak so I started using NAPA gold filters or Royal Purple. Make sure you put some oil in the filter and more importantly, MAKE SURE you put oil on the o-ring on the filter. I'm guessing this might be your problem. This helps make a better seal. Also, when you put these filters on the car, don't use an oil wrench. Just tighten them as tight as your hands will do it. If it leaks after, try tightening with the oil wrench with like a quarter of a turn.
I guess you could check the surface of the motor where the seals touch to make sure there isn't any old gasket there. Just make sure it's a clean flat surface.

my guess would still be an old gasket just because he says his gasket actually gets pushed out from where it should be. i have had some leaking filters a few because i forgot to put oil on the gasket and the one time i used a Mobil 1 it leaked but these never pushed the gasket out of place, oil just got around the gasket. over tightening could probably do it though.

k well no old o-ring.... went to honda dealership and got new oil filter... put it on and worked....been about a month and woke up this morning to go to work... same thing happen.... honestly dont know what it could be... this morning was cold roughly 32 degrees...was runnin late just hoped in car cranked and pulled out....could this be the problem?....not warmin the car up?...idk.... HELP!
You're sure it is the filter? The oil pressure switch is located above the filter. These are notorious for leaking as well; it runs down the block to the filter area. It is easier to access with the filter off. Take the electrical connector off, removed the sensor with a socket, apply some Hondabond or other sealant to the threads and reinstall. While you have the filter off, check as best you can to make sure the mating surface for the o-ring is flat and undamaged and that the threads are perpendicular to the surface. Maybe someone bent it applying too much force with a filter wrench.

k i believe i found the problem... now need a solution... the threaded post on the block was loose..i could turn it with my hand... i turned it until it tightened then i put my filter back on...cranked the car and got under it with a flash light... running smooth....ever heard of this before?...how do i prevent it from getting loose again?
no don't worry about it. you don't need to let your car warm up. its good to let it run for 30 seconds or so before taking off but even that isn't required.

Also, if using a threadlocker, I would only use a medium strength/high heat one instead of the permanent threadlocker ones.

I've tried to use a pair of M20x1.5mm nuts and there's not enough thread to double nut. I used the adapter from an oil sandwich plate and some Hondabond HT.
