Default 96-00 HX O2 Sensors

So...I've seen a good number of threads online about these o2 sensors and their cost. My check engine light has been on for a month or so now. Has had a high idle upon start up and the motor "shudders" from stops (to the point where I really have to rev it high or hit it just right to start from a stop on a hill). Recently I had to replace the battery, and after dumping the code, noticed that the car ran/idled much cleaner (almost night and day difference). I've had a local shop run a diagnostics on it, but it only gave them a vague code (they didn't have the right software...), which indicated some sort of catalytic problem. My guess is the o2 sensor.

I'd rather shoot in the dark and try to diagnose this on my own rather than drive 30 minutes to a shop and have them nickel and dime me to death. In doing my research, I've read that the Bosch units are junk. I've found several brands on ebay including Sixity and Walker. It's the front o2 sensor I'm backing on as being bad. Here's the two links:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WALKE...item53dcbcb2f2

For $128.99 and

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-O...item2a036adc63

For $121

I'm really not inclined to drop $300 or more on a sensor, however I want something that's gonna work right and last me a while.

Has anyone heard of either of these brands? Feedback and thoughts?

Edit: Now here's two Walker Brands that claim to fit the 96-00 HX model, upstream o2 Sensor part. However, each bid description has a different Walker part number.

$130

Walker Part Number 250-25001

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WALKE...item53dcbcb2f2

$380

Walker Part Number 250-25055

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-...item2c4f1d2c19

Edit Number 2: I called Walker directly and they told me the correct Walker Part number for the 2000 Honda Civic HX D16Y5 M/T is 250-250055.

FWIW, after doing some additional digging, I found this sensor that sells for $99.

With what it seems, some direct feedback from people who have bought the sensor themselves.

And some NTK alternatives for around $180-190

you don't need the scanner, use this to pull the codes yourself --> https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-pull-cel-d4-srs-abs-codes-code-lists-1901557/
you don't get the nice pretty code number, but it works perfectly for what you need it for.

As far as O2s
I'd stear away from the walker parts, most don't play well with honda ECUs.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check the CEL code. Any idea on what to use for a 2-pin connector clip?
