Few Swap Questions
I'm getting my hands on a minty fresh Harvard blue '92 VX hatch for a steal sometime this week. All original, 2 owners, zero rust, only 106k miles. Going to be pulling the D15z and auto in favor for the LS/ys1 from my sol. I know there is issues with the tranny mount lining up but I contacted Innovative and they can make me a mount to eliminate welding a new mount on. Is there any other issues I may run into? I've read wiring is slightly different from the other models like for the o2 sensor? This being a VX is the radiator the same as all the other half rads.? I have one in my sol but it has a leak and would like to just use the VX one if possible.
Its not a VX. VXs were only available with a long geared 5 speed manual, there was no automatic version, as a matter of fact the only USDM 5th gen hatch available with an automatic tranny was the DX, the CX, VX and Si were manual only. I'm also pretty sure the VX wasn't available in harvard blue.
Well thanks for the good info. I actually bought it today. Its a DX, it does have powersteering, and its harvard blue lol. The only reason I figured it to be a VX was the wheels which it has VX wheels. Was it option to get those wheels on a DX?
Did you just not read my first post? I said I'm ditching the single cam for my LS (a1) and cable b16 (ys1). This thread is irrelivant now due to me knowing its a DX and I am familiar with them and wiring on them. Mods can close/lock. Thanks for the help.
