VX Transmission Identity?
First off, there is a different between a normal eg tranny and a vx tranny correct? Different gera drives i believe.
So my main question, how can I identify that a transmission is really a VX transmission?
Thank you for your help.

Re: VX Transmission Identity?
yeah there is a BIG difference. the VX transmissions gering is SUUUUPER long. made for better fuel economy
i believe those transmissions top out at around 180 miles per hour.
so if ur 1st gear can be held to around 60mph, u have a VX transmission
:D

Re: VX Transmission Identity?
cx/vx tranny are tha same gear ratio there's stamped #'s on the tranny like P20/A000
same with dx/lx but with slight different gear ratio.
si/ex stamped would be P20/B000.

Re: VX Transmission Identity?
The A000 will tell you its a small bearing transmission, thats about all. It could end up being a CX/VX or a DX/LX tranny though, you really have to pull one apart and start counting teeth. Why do you want to run a VX tranny anyway? its infintely easier to run a cable tranny from a civic or CR-X.
