Hey.. I drive an 07 Si that I bought in april 09. I have only put 20000 km's on it. 50000 altogether now. After the first month or so of driving it I noticed a bad rough squeak from the clutch on 1st gear take off... It would do it about half the time. It was loud and crunchy and i could feel a bad pulsing. After a little while of that I decided to bring it to the dealer. They looked at, said it needed to be lubed is all. Warrenty job, no charge. good..
a few weeks later it started again, so I brought it back again, same thing.. lube it, no charge, have a nice day. a few weeks later, bingo, started again worse than ever. Brought it back , and they replaced the master cyclinder, said it was defective. covered by warranty. good to go. that lasted until about a month or so ago, and it started again. worse than ever. Once again i brought it back, and all of a sudden they tell me its a common honda problem, and the "pivot" needs to be routinely lubed every 8000 km's, and i got charged (still have lots of warranty). It was only about 50 bucks but i felt pretty fleeced. Has anyone else had this squeak problem, and is it true that it is "routine" maintenance with these cars or is that a bunch of BS cause they are sick of seein me in there for the same problem? thanks.
