complete d16y8 swap with z6 manifold and obd0 dizzy vitara pistons, pretty much everything else is stock, dx to mpfi wiring harness but no resistor box i just twisted the wires together as known,
car gets fuel on all cylinders and spark, but its not running on cylinder 1&3 i think it could be the timing but ive tried it a million different times and it still wont run right, i need some help thanks

 

double check and make sure your injectors are working properly

 

thats what my next thing was gonna be, i had almost the same problem with my old motor d15b2 block z6 head and it was the timing and fuel also i used a different engine harness this time so ill see thanks anything else??

 

double check your timing and are you throwing any codes?

 

its only throwing a code 1, but ive gone over the timing over and over and it still wont run right it has fuel and spark on all 4 cylinders i dont know what it could be ive re adjusted the valves also they are perfect

 

make sure u got the right order for your spark plug wires

what dizzy are u using?

 

do a compression check. and what computer r u runnin??

its a chipped obd1 p28 and i have a conversion harness, i used to have a d15b2 block and z6 head same injectors same manifold on my new motor, im not sure what dizzy it is, but it was on the motor when i got it and it ran like that, im not sure if its an obd0 dizzy because it bolts right up i think they may have changed the plugs to obd0 but i really have no idea what the f it could be, it runs on 2 cylinders like a champ and dumps fuel out number one exhaust port

havent tried that yet but i will when i get home, thanks for the advice anything else would also help im punching myself in the face for this one lol

 

make sure that the dizzy is for the right obd and do you have some kind of tune on the car?

 

its the same ecu thats been ran on like 4 different motors, just launch control and 9k rev limiter and 54k vtec, but its the dizzy that came with the car and the guy said it ran fine i think its an obd0 ls ecu and we changed the plugs to obd1 plugs to match the ecu and harness
