Thanks for posting a second time

You need to turn your caps off and give details...if not no one is going to help you. Did you even read what you typed before you posted?

It's a matter of preference on whether or not your car should be manual or auto...so why don't you think about it and decide?

Manual is always better performance wise.. If you have a long commute to work or wherever with traffic, you may not want it.. and get the SI motor over the Acura..

We need more details.

What Acura motor? If it's the CSX-S, I believe an auto trans is compatible. With a z3, it's questionable is anything other than a manual is possible. So you need to do some research.

not for drag raced cars, but serious ones... like 10 seconds or faster should probably be the only ones considering auto and that's only for consistancy... trans brake, rev launch controllers, and a consistent time between shifts...

if you're driving on the street and want to be different throw out the money to have your trans built into a dog box. other wise Manual and stop posting the same question twice. if you didnt get a response the first time it's because no one cares haha

Also, the SI motor is only manual... It doesn't come with an automatic option..

Yeah unless you plan on making a 10 second car and auto on a K20 is kinda silly....

Sell it and buy an LX-S in manual.........

Once again, this is a BRAND NEW car. Why on earth are you talking about all these modifications. You need to do the following:

1) Sit down and figure out what your goals are
2) Price out theses goals
- Call shops for est. labor
- Lookup prices on parts
- etc
3) Price out the difference of selling the car vs doing these modifications

You'll find out you waste ridiculous amounts of money trying to modify it than you would if you went to Carmax, sold the damn thing since it is brand new, has minimal miles, etc and just bought a new or lightly used car of what you want.

*edit*

In all seriousness, your LX-S new is ~18k - You could have easily purchased a lightly used SI with under 20k miles on it for $14k and had a better motor, manual transmission, etc. OR you could have spent ~18k on a brand new LX-S that was manual. I stand by my previous opinion that your parents bought the car for you and you are being a brat and not appreciating what you have.

sounds like to me you like the idea of having a sleeper. i understand how you feel but it will be alot money that is need. for example. i have 2 cars. one is my 07 si which i use to drive to work only. my other car is an ej6 w/ an h22. i have my ej6 setup to look like a sleeper. your best bet will be to keep you new civic as is and just get your hands on pre 2000 honda civic and mod that thing instead. as part will be easy to find and install. And alot of the work can be done by you. but if your looking still have your heart set on putting a motor in your new civic, then go to the car auctions and see if you can find a wreck acrua or SI and just buy it. Bring it home and just take it slow as you swap stuff out. would also recommend you buy the service manuals for your car and the other car you are going to use. Just my $.02
