Default civic b16a

I just traded my s10 for a b16a civic i was told it was mostly stock. I know a guy that works at a family owned machine shop that offered to take the b18 motor out his car and do the work to put pistons and rods in. what is so special about my motor he is wanting it so bad. i want a turbo car what is better.

Do it, tell him to put in low compression pistons, and good rods and then you are good to boost that ls all day. Get the motor entirely rebuilt and make him do the swap too though.

So... The guy offered to trade motors + put pistons & rods in YOUR motor & call it even?

I'd do it. I'd MUCH rather have an LS than a B16

I'd try to get just a bit more than that then. see if he will balance the rotating assy...

A B18B is much more fun to drive than a B16. Gobs of more torque
