Default 98 civic cel help

Ok here is the deal. I recently acquired a 98 civic. The CEL is on. Here is the issues Ive noticed.
When its cold it will not run by itself wants to cut off.
When its warm if you let it sit and idle like at a drive through most of the time it acts funny and doesnt want to rev or acts like it has no power. Cut the car off and crank it back and its fine.

Took it to advance to pull the codes and it showed 2 codes.
Idle air control malfunction
and rich in bank 1.

What is the culprit of this? Thanks in advance.

OK I took the iac off cleaned it with carb cleaner and blew it out good with the air compressor. I put it back on reset the computer and within 8 miles the cel was back on.
Is is it possible these go completely bad? ALso what years would work on my car?

IAC... Remove it and clean it, and make sure your cooling system if full & properly bled.

If this still continues, you may need to replace the IACV.

I did remove it and cleaned it. I then took the negative cable off and reconnected it. Within 10 miles the light was back on.

As for the cooling system I know it doesnt have the right cap on the radiator. I noticed the car was leaking a little coolant and decided to buy it a new cap thinking the coolant was seeping past the cap. Put the new cap on and when it built pressure the radiator leaked at the plastic metal seam. I have bought a new radiator but havent installed it yet.

Could this be the problem?

get a profressinal shop to quote what to replace ;p i think all u do is bring it in, and they will tell u right away.. thats what a mechanic in town does lol ;p he is also my good friend, but he owns his own shop, and he doesnt charge for you to bring it in and he will tell u advice for no charge.

same with the alero at a oldsmobile dealership, free of charge as long as they dont have to work on it
