Default stock internal b20vtec with ebay t70 turbocharger??

anyone use the ebay T3/t4 t70 turbocharger on a similar set-up? I kno the turbo is for big displacement motors like 2.3 and up... but What rpm does this turbo start to spool at on B-series motor? I got this turbo for free from my bro and im gonna use it on my b20vtec motor for daily driving and looking to make about 300-350hp on it if possible....

We ran this turbo on a friend's Hatch with a Poor Man's Type R setup with a built head. The car wasn't completely tuned but ran around on 15 psi for around a year before he told it. The car saw full boost around 5500 and freight trained it's way to 9000rpms.

I actually liked that turbo a lot. His car was fast enough to beat up on plenty 400-500hp cars although we never dyno'd it.

Well, considering you got the turbo for free... You could go ahead and put the rest of it together and put it on and make some decent power, but I mean, you can always end up getting a new turbo later if something happens to this one.

I have one on my for 5 months and its working fine. I drive my car 250 miles a week and no issues with the turbo. Just make sure you use a filter, have proper oil feed/return lines, and prime the turbo before you start the motor the first time. I made over 300 on 9psi and love it. The turbo is a bit lazy but when it spool, IT SPOOLS!

this turbo is a divided exhaust entry, and im wondering if i have to have a manifold that has the divided entry to work with this turbo? or can i use a manifold that dont have it and just put a gasket on it?

what cast manifold will work with this turbo without having to cut up the block for clearence? this turbo is freaken heavy, scare that it might break of the welds on some expensive stainless steel tubalar manifolds lol....

I highly doubt if you have an expensive tubular manifold you would break it with that turbo! i would have to think when they are designed they keep weight of turbos in mind... You do not have to run a divided manifold on a divided turbo but you lose the benefit of quicker spool etc by not using one...
