HELP D.D. FUEL Gauge not Working ?!?!?!
Ok so i was riding down the road and i geared down to 3rd messing with a friend of mine and as i got to about 8K i noticed my fuel gauge was droping rapidly. So i kinda freaked out cut the car off and pulled into a parking lot thinking I had a massive fuel leak. I had just filled my car up to the brim so i knew i had fuel but when i pulled in and got out started looking it over ...NO leak anywhere cranked it back up fuel pressure reads good but the gauge in the cluster is sitting below E and will not move. Anybody have any ideas on what could of cause this suddenly to just fall out of the bottom like that ? I have check all the wires and connections but none are loose or disconnected that i can see without dropping the tank. Anyyone ever have this happen to them ? What can i do to fix it ? Thanks in advance guys !!
damn i was hopeing it wasnt that but with these solid mounts i got you may be correct on that ... looks like i'll be droping the tank to find out
ok under the cover is a lock ring with a plug ... looks like i can get into the tank is this my float or is it built into the pump assembly ?

The pump is not under the access cover in an '88-91 Civic/CRX. The fuel level sending unit is under the cover; the fuel pump cannot be accessed without dropping the fuel tank.
