i just picked up this turbo, and the guy who sold it to me said it was an e50. what ever that means, any ways there are some markings on it and some part numbers that lead me to(obviously) believe that its a turbonetics. i called my local turbo shop(turbochargers.com) and they said by the description i gave them, that it was a pre 2007 turbo and since it was a pre 07, that it might not have the chance of having alot f parts avaliable for it. i dont even know what the specs are for it and im kind of interested to find out what kind it is. its a lil dirty but im going to clean it in a few minutes and see what else i come up with. heres some pics

Looks like a T3/T04E 50 trim Turbonetics to me, I think most all or atleast the new Turbonetics have their name or atleast the 'T' on the compressor housing.. The one I had on my car was a piece of ****, hopefully yours isn't the same way.

20357 comes back to a .48 A/R turbine housing..
I wouldnt buy a turbo without knowing the specs and you'd have to open this one up and measure the wheels to find the trims.

Honestly I don't want to mislead you, I am just telling you what trim etc that looks like to me. It's hard to say whether that wheel was upgraded or not already, the guy couldn't tell you anymore about it? It's weird because there are two different part numbers for the housing and the wheel.

heres what i measured, the exhaust might be a lil off
intake
center:2-1/8th's
outer:3"
exhaust: 2-9/16th's
but why would it have just the "T" on the exhaust housing then?

i measured the inlet and its at 2" the center piece is 2 9/16th's and exhaust is 2" as well
im just gonna take it to turbochargers tomorrow and have them take a crack at it. the turbo parts/bolts n nuts are currently soaking in degreaser.
and do you have to use an impact to take the intake nut off? it's a 3/8th's nut

For the intake nut, I don't recall ever having to use an impact to get it off. Is it that tough by hand?

ok so i took the turbo to the shop, they said it was good(for a change) and then took it to turbochargers.com and they also said it was good(no surprise there) and the exhaust is a .63 and intake is a .50 which is cool. it has the stage 3 setup on the exhaust side and an upgraded wheel(i think) on the intake side. the guy said this is the PERFECT turbo for a street lsv-t and it should be kicking out a stout 400 to 500 ponies with no problems at all. he also said i should hit boost around 3300 rpm which is also nice to hear

That's great to hear! I'm excited to see how mine works out. Have you ever had to rebuild it at all?? And what makes you use a restrictor on it?
It came with a restrictor/filter in the feed location so I used it. I've changed the intercooler and a few other things but I haven't touched the turbo since I put it on 5 years ago.
