Hi, im building my gsr motor right now for turbo and i don't know witch tranny is good for it. I was thinking about gsr tranny and add LSD in it or get a new type r tranny from Acura and will it work ok wit the turbo motor?

A GSR with an LSD added on or a Type R trans are very good options..but if u lack the money for either or can't find them, an LS Tranny would be pretty good to..(TALL GEARS), especially if u can add a LSD to that to...

In my opinion i'd prefer a tranny with Taller Gears, the b16 tranny for example has short gears, depending on what the car is being used for that can be both a good and bad thing.

 

If you have the gsr tranny stick with that . Its the best all around tranny in my opinon

 

 

GSR 1/2, B16 3/4, LS or B16/GSR FD to suit your mph needs. Can do better aftermarket though.

 

Depends how much power/torque you are making and what you're reving to really. And how you want to drive it.

If you're going to make less than 300, don't do an LS trans.
If you plan on racing it at all at the track on slicks, don't do an LS trans.

Best overall, 'just slap it in and have a happy medium' trans is the GSR.
