i just put amsoil manual tranny fuild in my 2000 civic ex. i heard it was very good. i have always used honda mtf but heard that amsoil is better. is there anything better than amsoil mtf?

 

In the end it is personal preference. On our race car we are doing testing with different type of trans fluids. All i know is im staying away from the new honda fluid. Its to thin for my liking and seems like its just 10/30. I like there old design of fluid which was thicker. But again personal preference.

 

I use HONDA mtf in my b16 trans.

its very expensive though....here in atl ga.......for 3 qts (how much i need) the total comes to like 33 dollars.

 

i get discount from the dealer. my y8 tranny only takes 1.9 quarts. and i get it both for $11.xx. the honda mtf looks a little too thin for me too. thats why i switched to ammsoil

 

honda mtf is best for me. used it on race cars and no problems YET. but i will check out ammsoil, I might like it better.
