My daughter has an 86 Accord. She wants me to install some of those flourescent blue light strips that can be purchased at the auto parts store underneath her dashboard on the driver and passenger side. She wants them to follow the operation of the dome light as whenever any door opens she wants them to go on and turn off when the door shuts.

Does anybody know where I can find the ground wire that I need to tap into so that these flourescent lights will work as the dome light does?

You could tap into the circuit through the courtesy lights on the doors. The switch itsself is built into the door jamb (Looks like an L) and would be fairly difficult to tap into, and i can't see you tapping into the headliner. What i would suggest is tracing it from the courtesy lights to where the door wiring harness goes from the door to the dash. You will, however, have to remove the door panel.
