Default JRSC

ok i have been thinking of going with a JRSC all i have is bolt ons no internal work. is the race kit safe? it says its only 8psi so i know we can handle almost 12psi on the A3 all day long. also just wondering how hard is the install i have heard from some people u have to do some cutting to make it fit i have also heard it is a straight bolt up.

Not sure on any fitment issue's or trouble during istallation, hopefully someone who has personally installed one will chime in. BUT I know most have great experiences with the race kit, I would say go for it!

Come on JRSC owners chime in for this guy...

boost psi = nothing to do with hp. With a jrsc race kit you can see 8.5 lbs with a stock cat back and you change out the cat back and the boost can drop to 7.5lbs because of the increased flow. You will be making more hp but with less "boost"....so talking about psi is kinda dumb.

Since you are talking about an a3, I assume you are in a ep3....the jrsc r kit is a direct bolt in...I have installed one in 3 and half hours...there is no need for any cutting if you have the ep3 kit. As for upping the boost on the race kit, It can be done with a dyno tune...street tunes are not a good idea. As for a ton of boost...remember, the jrsc kit is not inter cooled and the stock k20a3 bottom end is junk...some of the turbo guys run high boost on a3's for a while but unless they have one heck of a tune, the motors do not last long.

^Good reply... only fitment issues I have ever really heard of from a jackson racing kit going on proper car with correct motor is that notching/cuting of some kind is required on the 06+ si kits NOT the EP3 kits.

Your car is hawt secks HFP-EP3, a JRSC can only improve!

I agree with musty here... but the JRSC is pretty straight forward to install. I would love to get one but its still a pretty penny!

Holy crap!! That is a super good deal considering K-Pro alone is usually around 700-1000! I can't wait to get mine on I'm also going to be running a water/meth kit to help keep those temps down, not to mention more powa!
