Default alternative way to restore your headlights

first your need a cloth (microfiber recommended)
water
and a nail polish remover
and for better results buy a plastix

heres the pics of before and after

just wipe it off with nail polish remover with a cotton ball
and it will turn white after that sprinkle it with water then wipe it using a dry cloth
and youll notice the difference after that and if you want you can apply the plastix if you dont have the money thats fine just get the nail polish youll be fine

I just use a rubbing compound from turtle wax. It works great.

I'D BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL NOT TO GET NAIL POLISH REMOVER ON YOUR PAINT!!

i took the extra mile and went and masked off my car around the headlights, and wet sand with 1500 grit and then 2000 grit sand paper then polished them and they looked good as new, and turtle wax kit works too tho.

I don't see this as being a good long-term solution, I bet they fog up again in no time.

If you really want to "restore" the headlights, you'll need to sand/polish them correctly.

well yeah you can say that, we have diff. opinions about this
but you can actually see that the stain that fogs up your headlight gets on the cottonballs and everyone i know in my country do this thing cause we dont have the thing called plastix or something, even if we have those things its gonna be expensive
