Default dont want to **** up my ps rack...........

i dont want power steering on my car could i just swap an older rack in there w/o power steering would that work???? have a 92 si
or will it really mess up the rack if i dont worry about it?

ok first off, I don't understand where you're coming from with your steering rack greif....you left out some vital info, such why you don't want your P/S taken out...things like that.

but..

if you dont want PS, you have 2 options.

option 1)
Get a hold of a 92-95 civic CX/DX/VX (these all have non p/s racks) used (from j-yard) or rebuilt rack; remove your current one and install the non-PS rack and pinion....its way easy if you have your motor out btw..heh...but you can still wedge-install it in there if you know what your doing. Presto, non-PS steering rack.

option 2)
You can stop feeding your rack P/S fluid (remove the fluid and plumbing for it) and let it die a slow death, steering will get a bit difficult though.. This option is a rather ghetto choice though.
