Default 92 GSR ecu fuse burned up

Alright I have a few questions for all you wiring guru's. I was driving home in my 92 GSR and as I was getting on the freeway I mashed it and when i went to shift to the next gear hard the car just died....Found out it was the ECU fuse that burned up. My question is what all could cause an ecu fuse (10 amp) fuse to blow? Could a s hitty wired alarm cause that? The car had an alarm on it before and when they did it i can tell they did a terrible job, also they pulled most of the alarm stuff out but left the "brain" and all of the wires...just kinda half assed fix it enough for it to run and sell it.

So to summarize what could cause an ecu fuse (10 amp fuse) to blow? Could a shorted alarm wire cause this? I will look into all of the wires you guys suggest and give you back feedback, I just need to figure this out soon. Thanks for the help in advance.

Most likely your main relay. I have the same car and just had the problem. Good luck!

When you replaced your main relay you stopped having this issue? It's only happened to me once but i don't want it to keep happening, i want to fix it asap.
