so i was driving down the highway and suddenly my speed goes up to 80 but im not moving that fast and its like the car is in neutral so i put it back in gear and it keep doing that till finnaly it wont stay in gear and the speedo will go up by car wont go anywhere at all.

are the syncros shot?

 

I believe the synchros are shot if you go from gears to gears, and it grinds.

I'm not sure, but it sound like your VSS may be shot too if its showing 80mph when you're not even going that fast.

 

i dont think the vss is shot i noticed when id try to accelerate its like something in the engine was turning cuz ud hear a kinda of like clanking sound spinning really fast and the clanking sound only comes when i accelerate so idk
