Turbo ITR or N/A
NA is expensive. for less price turbo deliver more power. Gotta say though I love the feel of a highly responsive motor, the high cr, the high rpm, the instant torque respnse, and loud too(w/open header). I have a stage 2 NA setup, and get 31 mpg mixed driving.
The ITR is a great chassis to turbo, it can handle the power, and it's fun. Mine is all stock too and what I came up with was to build a GS-R motor for turbo and leave my stock B18C5 on the side and not modify it, just for security reasons such as having the stock motor to swap back in after the GS-R needs a rebuild. You can always go back if you decide to do the work to another motor.

Exactly. If you want a fast car in a straight line, a FWD Integra is a bad choice anyways. Sell what you have and buy a Mustang or something with a factory turbo (WRX, EVO, etc).

IMO, if you build Type-R for turbo, do it right, spend the money, and make it all worth it, it the end, it's even more of an amazing machine. But let's never forget what an ITR is really for..
Thats true but have you ever driven or experienced a turbo charged ITR? Done right? Amazing! At that point you have the best of both worlds, handling and 1/4mile power, all in one, where in a Mustang you have a quick 1/4mile time and that's all.

and i truly feel i made a great choice in turboing my R (i had a built NA motor also). my R will probably never make a trip down the 1/4 mile, but i dont think it would have an issue at all hitting some cones or making it around the road course without issue.
but in the end? i dont give a **** what you do to your R, ricer **** aside, its your R.
agreed.

an ITR boosted is something else man.
i got a 28r on 8 psi pushing 269hp, it feels great.
a lot cheaper than going all motor and a Boosted ITR stands out, trust me.
269 in not massive hp, but it is safe and very reliable and fun.

a large oil cooler is an inexpensive investment that's golden on the road course. if you ever start tracking for more than 5 minute sessions it's going to be in your future. it really doesn't take long to get 300deg oil temps with a hairdryer spinning, 90 degree days and your right foot keeping the motor between 5000-8500.
this also should help your coolant temps since you'll bypass the coolant oil cooler that's OEM
