Icon6 Hesitation between idle and 3.5k

I recently purchased a del sol with a 1.5 for a new project and am having a low end hesitation problem. Between idle and 3.5k it is extremley gutless and feels like it could be cutting out. I replace the plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter and timed it thinking it was a ignition problem. No luck.

I have another distributor I can throw on off my hatch and see if its a problem with the ignitor. Anyone have any ideas besides dist, tps or o2?

Thanks HT and Merry Christmas!

I'm having a similar issue with my GSR. So it'll be interesting to see the replies you get.

I suspect TPS on mine...

Does it do it ALL the time? Mine does it like every other 2nd time hahaha. It changes with the key turn.

Ya it does it all the time. I thought plugs, cap and rotor would solve it but was surprised to find out it didn't. I'm not throwing a cel but im thinking o2 sensor or ignitor. I filled it up earlier this week and im only at 175 miles with a 1/4 tank left. So gas mileage is no where near where it should be............

RPM is something I haven't tested. I'll see if it does it at higher RPMs.

Mine might do it right now, cause it's been good for a few days.

It either ALWAYS does it, or always doesn't do it. It's weird.

mine sorta did that too. And it idled low sometimes. My fuel pump went out. So im pretty sure thats what it is. Maybe it was slowing dying. Havnt fixed it yet though.

Seems like if the pump went out it would just go out instead of lose efficiency. Also runs fine in the higher RPM's so I dont know. I'm more leaning towards 02 or ignitor. I'll try to toss those on tomorrow and have an update. If anyone has any other ideas let me know.

I have the same problem with my prelude but it won't rev over 3.5. I am going to replace the rear 02 sensor and see where that gets me. I am throwing codes 8 and 65. Do u think that I could be off one tooth on the cams also?
