95 civic 1.5 no start??
just installed new wires, new plugs, new cap and new rotor in my garage. fired right up and drove home great, no issues at all. went out the next morning and nothing now. motor spins over freely, battery has plenty of juice, fuel pressure verified (by cracking open the line on top of the fuel filter, which is also new) put in gas with a bottle of HEAT just incase it might be water) havent had a chance to verify if it has spark yet ( no one home to help turn the key) but ive had the car for about 200 miles and havent had a problem. and im pretty sure its not the cold, the car started right up in colder temps just last week. stock air box with new filter also. when the car is fully warmed up it did have the surging idle issue. didnt get a chance to fix it just yet. searched all over the net and no great info... oh yeah, not a noob, just stumped and its hard to work for only a few min. at a time out in the cold....
So any ideas???????

Check your spark and then we can start throwing some ideas out.
Not enough info man.
Sometimes it can be as easy as simply re-installing a bad install
Check over your plugs/cap etc.

pretty sure i figured it out. i found a no start/starting trouble thread that goes into awesome detail. on motorcycles (im a MC mechanic) if you suspect a dead cylinder, you run the vehicle and pull the plug caps until the engine doesnt change, finding the dead cylinder... when you do that to a civic with a distributor, you short the coil. once the coil cools down, its done. forever. the spark just jumps through the coils casing. resulting in weak but visable spark, giving the impression that you actually "have" spark. but ya dont have enough to run. and of course thats what i did when i was trying to figure out the miss firing idle issue. then found the dist. cap was broken but still sparking most of the time. replaced the cap, drove it home all within an hour, so it never cooled down. so after the holidays ill be installing a new coil and update this thread. ill also post up that link i found on the no start/starting trouble.
yessir, sure was the coil. fired right up after install. I also fixed the idle surging issue and that took care of the idle missing totally. it fixed the idle completely now. runs awesome and smooth. WAYYYY better than when i picked it up. I <3 HT :-)
