Are you shaking any snow off your shoes before you get into the car? Kinda a stupid question yeah but.... Why not get some rubber floor mats for the winter, it will help keep the carpet dry.
i remember when i also had water getting into my car whenever it rained heavily. Every morning there would be like a puddle in either driver or passenger side. Turns out because i park my car facing downhill water entered through my taillight gasket were suppose to be but apparently the previous owner removed it or something because i didnt have any and it soaked all of my backseats and then from there leaked to the front carpets. How I found out where it was leaking from was i just took a hose and sprayed it in cracks to see where water could come in from and i saw that water entered pretty easily from the tailights. After that i just patched up teh taillights and no water has gotten in since.
yah i do but its jus the driver carpet no others just this one and its way more den just from shoes its like a puddle in da car so its coming in somehow ill try taking off carpet and try 2 find how is it coming in
if any other ideas plz let me know thxx

Check heatercore and check under your dash for clogs.
Back when my father had his X5, water was just coming in and standing on the carpet in the drivers side. Turns out a rat had made a nest under the hood in the heater passage and when it rained or when A/C was activated, the water would seep through everything because it would be clogged and would somehow run into the driver side floor.

Check under your fender to wear the headlight harness runs though. Mine came loose and water was leaking in through there. It was driving me CRAZY!! I fixed it and no more leaks.
could be wrong, but I think the front mudflaps keep water from getting in through the fenders, once again, I could be wrong. heard it awhile ago from some kid. worth a shot tho
edit: should've read the thread more thoroughly before postin'. glad you got it fixed
