I've looked all over and I can't find this information anywhere:
What is the minimum drop for a DC2 on Koni/GC? In Montana I can't get away with much of a drop.
Also, is the min. drop on Progress CompII 1"?
Edit: typo in subject -- meant to say "Koni GC"

I understand that the GC system lets you adjust ride height (that's what they are for, after all). What I wanted to know was whether the Koni GC system can give you the stock ride height, or if it will always give you a drop. The Progress coilovers seem to have a minimum drop of 1", so you couldn't lift to stock height if you wanted to for some reason.
for sure the cs2's will drop you about an inch because the shock bodies are shorter than oem ones. however how BAD are the roads where you can't even get away with a teeny 1 inch drop? your chassis will still be far above the ground and ride will be just fine with the correct rates.

Thanks to both of you for the info. It's my wife that's worried about lowering the car. She wants to still be able to get over speedbumps and into driveways. Even at stock height we have to take some driveways at an angle to get over. I think 1" would be fine.

stiff rates help. the stock rates are so soft that speed bumps and wavy roads can bottom the car out. moving the rates up even a bit will help this out. if you share the car with your wife and want a slightly more in control ride you might try 350/300 for F/R rates
the koni shocks have 3 heights on the front and 5 heights on the back on the shocks themselves, allowing you to adjust the height without touching the coilovers.
the ground control coilovers allow adjustment from stock to about 3" lower.
so in theory if the middle clip on the shocks and all the way up the coilovers is stock height, you could actually go about half an inch in front and an inch in back HIGHER than stock.
Just some info from my personal experience with this combo.
