o2 sensors keep ******* up, possibly. at night time when im under 5% throttle my ecu reads no voltage from the o2 sensor, throws a code, goes back into closed loop and dumps fuel. its NOT a connection problem. i have the thing hard wired straight into the ecu. im wondering if its the ecu itself... or the o2 sensor it self... i had 5K on my last one worked for a while then strated throwing codes if it didnt heat up quickly enough. the new one worked for 2 days. these ******* are BLACK when im pulling them out (running rich as a ****). ive got my safc leaning everything out (which seems to not be affecting o2 voltage at all (when it works) which is weird). sooo im wondering since the ecu if ******* up all the time and i have to clear it every day the fact that the sensors are black is a result of the car being back in closed loop once it loses voltage. im running less fuel than stock w/ stock injectors. also im sure the plugs are completely fuct b/c of this.

try another sensor to see if thats it if you havent already.
well my zc has thrown the code 1 since ive had it..just cant seem to find the problem..
i replaced it several times, tried other ecus, tuned fuel tuned spark wit msd,etc.
the only thing i havent done is change the dizzy or rewire it..i dont think rewiring it will help cuz the o2 sensor get voltage..i dunno maybe ill try it one day..wat pin do i rerun the wire to??

dizzy has nothing to do w/ the o2 sensor. o2 is can straight into c16, stock o2 sensor location it doesnt run into anything else b/c it doesnt even w/ the stock wiring harness. im wondering if im just getting **** broken sensors from the get go. i origionaly thought it was wiring b/c i had to many guages and sensors etc running off the 1 sensor. i wonderedt if the voltage wasnt getting around everything quickly enough. not the case tho. thing just takes a **** on me dunno.

I just did a mpfi swap about 3 days ago....my car is running rich...and ive got some descent smoke coming outta my exhaust.....last night I was out by my friends house (he has a really long straight street) I turned the corner in 2nd and just slammed it to redline the whole way down his street about right as I shifted to 3rd my CEL came on and I counted the code.....a code 1 and 20...(ive been throwing code 20s since the swap.....auto transaxle seloniod..so no biggy)
But as many times as ive messed with my o2 sensor I wasnt surprised it was screwed...my CEL went off and hasnt come back on but im still throwing a code 1......besides running rich will it hurt my cars performance otherwise...???
I think 02's going out in mpfi swaps is like notorious......its supposed to happen I think....lol

well im not exactully sure how the ecu works. if it throws a code on the ecu (light flashes) i believe it will always affect it untill cleared. *i think*.
OR
ecu adjusts itself only when engine light comes on. (like a mitsu ecu, can throw a code only ***** things up when check engine light is on. one its of car is fine but it still holds the code in the ecu memory) i dont know for certain what ours does.
i never threw a code w/ my stock o2 sensor. ever since ive been using bosch replacements they've been giving me hell. my buddy who sold parts said he had a girl go thru 6 in a month b/c they suck, i dunno.
ive compensated w/ the afc for the richness. code 1 only flashes when the o2 sensor voltage doesnt fluctuate during crusing. it could stay at .300 and throw a code. its suposed to cycle. when it doesnt ecu throws a code. ALWAYS suposed to cycle even at idle where mine will dip down and stay there once and a while. when the ecu cant read voltage it goes into fail safe mode (closed loop like on cold start since o2 sensors (ours) are only usefull once heated). once in closed loop it dumps fuel like a **** so the motor doesnt detonate itself to pieces
