Default LIMP MODE

Okay heres what its doing..
1)starts up, rough idle and after 30 seconds will stall out unless tapping gas
2)won't rev beyond 3000 RPM
3)CEL doesn't flash when trying to pull codes (ECU?)
4)somewhat black smoke from exhaust, but caked on with black soot all over exhaust and on o2 sensor when removed.

I did an OBD conversion from 0 to 1, running uberdata (injectors and everything is set correctly) Used a universal 4 wire o2 (thinking that could be the problem although brand new) Codes refuse to be pulled but code 0 is ECU so???? Its obviously flooding itself with fuel.

Limiting problem to bad injectors
Bad ECU(or poorly chipped)
Bad o2 sensor

If anyone can narrow this list down or has any ideas i'd really appretiate it. Thanks guys.

Also I had the car running (not right but the car started we'll say) before the o2 sensor was installed but I installed one since and pulled the fuse to clear the code.
Any other information you need just ask, really need your input!

Seems like your ecu was poorly chipped. Make sure all injectors are firing. Sounds like you are dead rich as well. Make sure wiring is correct. At the point you are at all you can do is triple check everything and narrow down problems until problem is solved.

Default Re: LIMP MODE (msmotorsports)

it has to do with the ecu.
solid cels/no flash when u jump the codes = ecu problem.

as said check your socketing.

a sure way to know if its the ecu try a different ecu to see if it fires up.
if it fires you found your problem in a matter of seconds

good luck
