B18 into 97 civic dx
a friend of mine was thinking of swapping an LS motor into his 97 civic dx..
oh yeah.. the ls motor he has is a 94 LS
so the question is.. what does it take to make this swap happen? what parts will be needed etc.- thanks

the car is a 97 meaning its OBDII, the motor on the other hand is OBDI, there are few things that are needed other then your basic swap parts (motor/tranny/axles/shiftlinkage/mounts/ecu),
harness converter will be required to make the ecu run without problems without extensive rewiring, also distributor and injectors will need to be repinned or changed over to OBDII to plug into the 97 DX harness

repin the dist?...no...OBD2 cars have a CFS in the oil pump. You can install an OBD2 LS oil pump or get an OBD2 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness and run an OBD1 ecu that does not look for that.
so you need to sell that OBD1 dist off the 94(someone out there needs one) buy an OBD2 LS dist
and sell the injectors or you can put the OBD1 injector plugs on your OBD2 engine harness thats in your car.
