94 LS IN A 97 CIVIC DX PLEASE HELP!!!
I have a 97 honda civic Dx auto and I have a 94 Ls engine with auto tranny and the complete engine harness and computer. I am lost as to what harness to use, the one that came off of the 97 DX or the 94 LS harness with the ECU . On the 97 civic the ecu harness is connected to the engine harnees it is not like the 94 integra where it unplugs from the strut tower and leaves the ecu harness pluged up to the ecu Also the 97 is obdII and the 94 integra is obdI. I think? somebody please help me!!!

try to use your stock harness, but you have to find an obd2 ecu, or buy an obd2 to obd1 conversion. this choice with be wiser. otherwise, you will have a hard time with the obd1 harness.

Your 92 civic is obd1, 96 and up civics are obd2. Different ballgame..... And the 6th gen civics dont have the plugs on the inner fender like the 5th gen civics.

use your obd2 harness. I did a 95 ls swap in my 96 ex civic and I used my stock obd2 harness and an obd2-obd1 jumper harness with an obd1 p75. You will have to rewire your iacv (since you have a dx) and katman on this board has a pin out of how to do it.

as long as you have the 99-00 si rear tranny bracket, and upper driver side bracket, it wil be a direct bolt in.

Does that rear mount bracket apply to an automatic transmission also?

You can plug in an obd2 ecu but heres where you run into problems. 96-up motors have a crank fluctuation sensor and a secondary o2 sensor, while obd1 motors do not. If you were to run an obd2 ecu on and obd1 motor without those sensors hooked up, you'll be in limp mode. I'm sure the car will run, but it'll probably run like ***.
