Default Pulled E brake too hard and now left rear drum is stuck

Happened overnight while I had the E brake on. I might have pulled up on it too hard. Its also been raining and cold. Now the drum and subsequent wheel does not spin. Usually I can drive in reverse and it will pop and come unstuck. Not this time. Ive tried hitting the drum with a hammer, driving the car back and forth. Any other ideas? Apply heat to drum with a Blow torch ?

LOL. This brings back some memories.

Remove your rims. Used a hammer and hit the drum until it's free.

I was thinking heat and a hammer might do the trick assuming it's temperature related, worse comes to worse you might have to pull the drum apart...

Could be the parking brake cable froze too, happens here in MN. Moisture gets in the cable while driving during the day and as it sits over night it can freeze. Thats why I tend to not use my parking brake during the winter months

I just noticed your location haha so your cable is prolly not frozen, but still throwin it out there

I took off the tire and struck the drum with a hammer. It came unstuck in about three strikes.

I think its just rust and dirt inside the drum. Would it be a waste of time to take the drum off and spray everything minus the shoes with a penetrant like brake clean?

Brake parts cleaner isn't a penetrant, you can spray the whole assembly with it.
