wire harness differences?
i have a 94 GS-R 4dr that im putting a 95 B18B into. im doing this because the car cost $500 and i wrecked my 95 LS SE. the 4dr of course is manual but the 2dr was auto. one of the harness plugs on the passenger side is different it has more wires than the plug coming from the firewall. the plug has six wires while the other has only four. does anyone know if this just has to do with the harness being from an auto and some wires are going to different plugs or different spots on the plugs? this is holding up finishing the swap and i need it running before more snow comes. any help would be appreciated

Yes, sounds like the plugs for vtec solenoid and maybe the knock sensor.
Just make sure every sensor on the B18b plugged in. Any extra plugs should be zip tied out of the way as they're probably for Vtec.
Also, you should run a ecu that matches the motor.

Who said chop the harness? Not to mention, one has 6 wires and the other has 4 isnt helping us with your issue much. I also assume you have a MT bolted up as of this point and arent trying to drop an auto into a MT chassis.

There will be some different wires since the gsr body harness has vtec wiring while the ls engine harness has auto trans wiring. As long as they plug into each other you should be fine.
