Default Blackworks Coilovers

I decided to start this thread because i didn't get my two cents in on the last thread i read from on these set of coilovers.

Now my buddy and I both ran the Skunk2 pro-s coilover kits I had mine adjusted to a 1.6-7ish drop on front and 1.5 on back and i must say these rode absolutely horrible and I am still running them for daily driving. I have another friend at KSU who runs the Pro-c coilovers and they were much better dd wise than the pro-s's but still don't feel like my buddy's new set of BWR's. So from my personal experience i can tell you that the BWR kit isn't just a "replica" of other big name brands.

My buddy replaced his for the blackworks coilover kit and i can assure you that they aren't a skunk2 replica. The ride was way smoother and comfortable than that of the skunk 2's. The skunk 2's handled very nicely on racing conditions and such but were a terrible daily driving suspension. I plan to replace my pro-s kit with the BWR ss kit soon.

I may not know allot about the differences and all between products but the BWR kit performed and rode differently than that of skunk 2's.

Just my two cents

BWR is not a replica of skunk2, or anyother brands. They simply get the same struts as other companies like F2 and Megan to name a few. Its nice to get some feedback but Id rather he be posting about it than "some friend". I guess what I mean is that I want to see a review like this:

Installed them on my car today. And i must say they are super good! Ride was great! I set the damper to 4th setting. And it feels like im running on stock height with stock shocks. No more bouncing ride.

It is very well known that skunk2 pro s coilovers dont ride good.

Besides ride quality is all based on opinons.

As was said--it's all the same basic crap, regardless of the name on them. Some have slightly different spring rates and slightly different shock valving, but they are what they are--cheap "disposable" coilovers.

And what I mean by that is they are cheaply made and can't be rebuilt.

Why someone spends the cash on a Megan, Skunk2, Tein Basic, Blackworks, etc. when you could--for around the same price--get Koni Yellows and a GC kit and have a vastly superior (and servicable) suspension setup is beyond me.

If it was only as easy as you think. There is a whole lot more than you think that goes into having a coilover line. And trust me they cost alot more than $250.BWR and several of the other companies you listed do not have there coilovers made in China.

There are a bunch of threads where people ask them specific questions and they drop off the planet.

I'm still waiting on their laptop to come back from Best Buy so they can post shock dynos. That might have been 6 months ago or longer.

Sorry I didnt respond It was the weekend and I was out of town and had no access to a computer.
Our coilovers are actually manufactured in Taiwan in a state of the art facility. Then the coilovers go through our rigorous quality control inspection here in house to ensure the highest quality for each and every one of our customers.
Thanks Charlie BWR

Can't dog the company on this because everyone's beloved PIC coilovers are also Made In Taiwan. I have said before in the past that it doesn't matter where the products are made as long as quality materials being used and fitment, engineering, and R&D has been done correctly.

huh i was right, but STOCK_SOHC_DX right.
But PIC is deffiently a quality peice, and they have no problems with telling you they coilovers are made there. the differecne is we know PIC makes good stuff, blackworks, ya, not so much.

Met a guy with those same coilovers, blown in 3 months, now that doesnt seem like quality to me. Besides any one can say there parts are made in a state of the art facility, but is it really?

We take pride in our great customer service as well as having high quality parts. I see you have stated we have bad customer service any your "friend" had a set of our coilovers on his car for 3 months and the shocks were blown. However, we have never been contacted by him or anyone about this situation and we also offer a 3 Year Warranty which shows we stand behind the quality and craftsmenship of our products!
So if you would like to clarify your concerns I would appreciate it.

Since we've got you active in this thread, can you please take care of this one:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2680526

We're waiting on your on specifics from your post on 11-16-2009 where you state:

So where are the specs? Did the laptop ever come back or did the forum call you out as we all thought? Maybe you're too busy "making" subframe braces and tow hooks or maybe this is the kind of "SUPPORT" you get from "BWRSUPPORT."

Actually, he contacted blackworks several times, i tried as well. All i got was a bitch, who blammed it on user error, does that sound like quality costomer service to you? Not to me.
I wish i had the persons name, and the squeaked quite a bit.
I will look for some threads but i am not the first person to say the customer service of blackworks sucks.
Warrantys dont really mean much, unless your prepared to fix the problem. In the several cases i have seen with people dealing with your company you were not.

How about thoses shock dynos? To my knowledge you have yet to post any which you said would be.
While reading threw some of the post made by your screen name, in the thread posted above, i can see very clearly you dont represent your self or your company very well, and that goes to support my claim, your customer service is terrible. To go even farther, when you are repeatedly asked questions and you simply disapree, you making the job of making your company look bad so esay. Your products and your company speak for them self, they are all junk.
