I dont know why you posted here about these pistons ?

There not a ITR piston, there a B16A piston Second gen up jdm b16.

It would lower the compressoin on the ITR , so No one with an ITR block would run a P30.

I think you will have better luck in the all motor section.

the itr piston would be a p73 if not mistaken

this is incorrect. it would raise the compression.

All b16's not just JDM have p30 marked pistons

im only asking this queston because im about to start my rebuild and i heard from some people that there not making oversized jdm itr pistons anymore. I was talking with somebody from inlinefour and they said just to use the p30 pistons. just wondering if anybody used them before in there itr rebuild.

Yes they work, yes they will raise compression. With a 2 layer HG, you could expect 11.3-11.6:1 static compression.. with a standard USDM piston IIRC.

They are also lighter than any of the OE Type R pistons. Try searching in the Integra forum. About 3 years ago someone had a thread on something similar to this.

DVDr... you are a t00L and cannot spell.

there: it is over there

they're: they're not -an- ITR piston

incorrect again, USDM B16's are stamped PR3

Technically, DOHC DelSol B16's had P30's IIRC.

The JDM ITR piston will provide slightly more compression despite its smaller dome due to its compression height.

Generally speaking, you want the flattest piston possible with the most compression to give both quality and quantity in compression.

The JDM ITR piston does this and also has coated skirts and maybe more importantly wrist pin oiling holes vs. any PR3/P30 piston.

well, I want to go with the jdm itr piston but i want oversized. But he shitty thing about it is that they stop making them in oversize.

P30 piston is lighter and has a slightly bigger dome so it will raise compression by a hair

end result = P30 makes more power

The JDM ITR piston will NOT provide more compression

11:1 (P73 00) vs 11.3:1 (P30) and the P30 is LIGHTER
*calculation includes adjusting the difference in pin height

the P30 piston makes more power, PERIOD.

Why do I know? I used to sell a lot of OEM pistons...

Anyone having luck finding oversized p30 pistons? It seems everyone is out of stock like the p73's, have they discontinued this too?

My math has been known to be 1 + 1 = 11 ... I stand corrected... !

I ran P30 pistons on stock rods with arp bolts and a thin spoon gasket on my old 98 ITR. Bought all that stuff from A&J Racing, good guys over there.

Made good power with DTR header and J's Racing intake, cams tuned by steve sakai on hondata...
