To refresh your mind Shu the transverse mounting bracket should look like this or maybe you did not spend much time under your old car?
Which ones? Pictured are two different brackets, right one is for the 12 inch kit, 6290 bracket, the left one is for the 11 inch kit, 8642 bracket.

i think that design stinks (the aluminum bracket with steel nutserts). you are asking for a failure with that type of design..... (i saw one fail at VIR on a CRX with the 11" wilwood setup. the caliper ripped off the knuckle and jammed in the wheel, locking it up and causing an amazing 720 deg spin. the guy was lucky not to hit anything!).
when i designed the BBK for my race Probe GT, i used 304 stainless steel for the bracket material; sure its a little heavier, but it will never fail and never corrode. the combination of aluminum brackets with steel inserts is scary (thousands of hot cold hot cold hot cold cycles with two materials that expand and contract at different rates.... ).
good luck with your repair, and i hope all goes well!
