I'm leaving in a week and a half for school (4 months at a time) and I would really like to figure out this SRS light problem.
My problem started about 3 weeks ago. The light turned on when I started the car. I reset the light and it never came on until two weeks later. I reset it again and it came on a day later. It's not like I reset it and it comes back on the next time I start the car.
Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.

I just reset it again. We'll see how long it will last. I ran the wheel over a year without any SRS lights. Age is getting to the R...

you can bring it to dealership, should be free or charge to service the srs lights , due to malfunction of the system. I had my parent 2000 accord service in 2008 free of charge. should be cover under life time warranty. just like the seat belt life time warranty.

Not with the JDM wheel.
Would be cleaner to just remove the bulb.
I have had this happen before. More then likely the connection on the driver side airbag isn't making good contact. Did you clear it with a obd2 scan tool? I have one and it tells me where the problem is. It really can only be 3 things one of the two airbags or the airbag module behind the center console.
i would find out what the fault is before clearing it. you might as well find out what the fault is, then you can decide if it's important or not. if the steering wheel wasn't compatible it would cause the light to come on immediately, sounds like an intermittent fault. poss. the module or a loose contact somewhere
I have a similar issue with my 2003 Accord. Sometimes the light stays on when I start my car and sometimes it doesn't.
Will a dealership cover this since it is 7 years old and over 107K miles on it?
