I've searched the forums for "horn" with no luck.

My horn is intermitently working. Sometimes it just does not work. Other times, it works at the slightest touch. Not sure if I am searching correctly.

Anyone have a clue for where I should start?

hook up a multimeter to the horn wires and see if there is voltage when you push the button. If so you have a bad horn. They are cheap

 

update, I swapped the horn relay with the lightning relay. No problem since. Apparently, the relay was on it's way out. The relay is located in the engine area near the firewall on the driver side..

 

Did it take you three years to fix your horn!!??

 

No, I fixed it shortly after I posted my question. When I did a search on my past postings, I noticed I left this topic open. I hate reading post and the problem is not solved when I am searching for answers. I'm just trying to set an example for other to follow up with post when possible.

well, i guess all i can do is try a new relay, mine does the same thing

the only strange part is that it always works with the keyless remote, and i honk at people pretty much every day. so thats why i thought the horn switch itself could be worn out or need cleaning

if i keep trying the horn, eventually it works

 

still nothing?
