1999 Accord Dies When Braking
So I just got a 1999 Honda Accord 5 Speed. About 1/3 of the time when I slow down the car shuts off. I tried to call Honda about the recall, but they said that mine doesn't apply to it. Any idea's what it could be?
I had this problem on my 01 Accord Auto. Does it stumble then shuts off?
I wasn't sure if this was the correct solution, but I cleaned the Idle air control valve. There was a good amount of carbon build up inside. So far it helps. Haven't had any problems with it dying. Idle became lots smoother too!

[QUOTE=Matt55;40943510]you can clean it with air, but soo you push the clutch in and push the brake, shift to neutral? then the car dies , when exactly does it die?[/QUOTE
well the clutch is in, sometimes its un netural and someitmes its still in gear. I'm usually not at a compmlete stop when it dies, usually im like going around a corner.
